Ciudad de México

October 2016.

I visited Mexico City just in time for la Dia de los muertos.
I was smitten by the vibrant city and coming from Canada, the warm sun was absolutely therapeutic!

Eee! I hadn't expected to receive L'Occitane products in my hotel room. :)

Fountains bring out the tourist in me. Coyoacan (Coyotes) was full of festivities during my visit and the weather was perfect to stroll around. The name of the village comes from a story of two coyotes, explaining the snapchat filters with two coyotes as well as the numerous statues depicting the pair!

Behind me sits the statue of Frida Kahlo in the park named after her.

La catedral metropolitana de la Ciudad de México:

For a small fee, you can climb up to the top of the cathedral with a guide.

The museum of architecture:

The Benito Juarez (Mexican president) Hemicycle:

Monument to the revolution:

What an attractive city with such energetic people. I am dying to go back next year on Dia de los muertos!

Adios México :)
